For this assignment you’ll need click on the PDF file below titled ‘Chapter 4 – Proofreading Exercise’, and find ten grammatical/spelling mistakes that are in the document (there are at least twelve errors in the document.). The only kind of mistakes you should be looking for are the following:

Spelling mistakes
Instances where it’s clear that the wrong word has been used.
Mistakes in the use of apostrophes or the punctuation used to terminate a sentence.

You are not looking for the mistakes of the following sort:

Improperly placed commas
Improper use of capital letters
Poorly constructed sentences or phrases

To complete this assignment, you need to list the following: 

The line in which you found the mistake.
The offending word
The correction that you recommend.

This can be listed as a narrative or a chart. Examples:

This assignment is worth ten possible points, one point for each mistake that you find – up to a maximum of 10 points. I will only grade the first 10 listed. Therefore, do not list 15 mistakes hoping that at least 10 are correct! Some of the mistakes are subtle, so be sure to read this over carefully. Once you’ve completed the assignment, or you’ve done as much as you can, upload it into the appropriate area here for this assignment.
