This week’s topic is Building the Implementation Plan, Partnerships, and Financing, and the assignment will be a discussion board.  The discussion board will cover the following question, “What is the responsibility of Christians with regards to economic development, leadership within the community, and the mandates of the Gospel?” Several of you have touched briefly on this in the past weeks, but this will provide an interesting discussion.
Just a note about the Discussion Board:  Be sure to incorporate ALL of the scripture.  Does this mean that you have to discuss each verse separately?  No.  In fact, this is where it is important to answer the questions that are posed in the instructions, and to find a main theme or points.  Each point can have multiple verses that are associated with it, and you can cite multiple verses.  Additionally, you should incorporate some or all of the class readings and presentations as you consider this assignment.  As such, the scripture must only be cited while there still should be a reference section with the sources that are cited other than the scripture for the initial post and 2 replies.   If you have any questions whatsoever, please be sure to ask me.    Finally, these verses (some or all) can easily then be incorporated into your final paper for the Biblical worldview portion of the assignment.

The initial post includes some of the Biblical passages assigned for the week.  That being said, none of the 3 entries include citations and reference sections. The initial post needs to expand on the analysis.  More specifically, this should include all of the passages in the discussion as the purpose of the assignment is to synthesize and discuss how all the scripture applies to the questions of the week. For example, what specifically are Christians challenged to do with regards to economic development?  May they be involved?  Also, as this is a learning environment, it is expected that the class texts will also be used.
Additionally, the replies are to include more substantive analysis and challenge the reader to think about another position.  As these read, they are more congratulatory.  And, as this is a research based class, all entries should be grounded in outside sources which is evidenced in citations and reference sections.
