Project Requirements:

Explore      the work of one famous artist by carefully viewing and studying 1-2 dozen      individual works by the artist.
Include      a brief profile of the artist’s life and work (no more than one page,      documented using MLA format).
Develop      many of your own original observations, ideas and opinions about the      artist’s work. Present claims about      how interesting or beautiful or important the artist’s work is. 
Describe      the artist’s work in general terms, referencing typical subjects, themes,      and style.
Present      a detailed description/critical analysis/response/review/springboard of      THREE or more individual works by the artist.
Include      some interesting quotes or information paraphrased from reliable sources      by scholars and critics about the artist’s work in general or about each      individual work. Use MLA 8 documentation.
Include      some interesting quotes by the artist and your views about each      quote. Use MLA 8 documentation. 
Use      quoted or paraphrased source material from at least six sources, including      one or more sources from JSRCC library databases. 
DOCUMENT      ALL PARAPHRASED, SUMMARIZED, AND DIRECTLY QUOTED SOURCE MATERIALS USING      MLA 8 FORMAT.

1. Choose a good topic, one that interests you and which you can make interesting to readers. Your topic must be approved by your instructor.
2. Provide a meaningful context for the topic.
3. Present some interesting general information about the topic, paraphrased from several reliable sources, at least one of which must be from the JSRCC library databases. Use MLA 8 documentation for all source materials.
4. Raise two or more good inquiry questions, and provide interesting paraphrased, summarized, or quoted information relevant to each question. Use source materials from a total of at least six sources. Use MLA 8 documentation for all source materials.
5. Include some of your opinions and views about the topic and the information you present.
6. Enhance the design of the report by creating an attractive cover page.
